Triage Investiga Goes to London: Conducting Global Forensic Accounting Investigations
Conducting a forensic accounting investigation in London reminds me of my first case back in Sydney, Australia.
Back in Australia, before conducting an investigative interview, I need to send a notification letter to the interviewee in a reasonable time to ensure procedural fairness, which includes:
1. The high level information about the object of the investigation.
2. Detailed time and location.
3. Explaining that he/she has a right to bring a Support Person (e.g union rep, friend, family)
4. Emphasize that the investigation must remain confidential to protect the integrity of the process, and
5. Who are attending the interview.
This is a bit different than in Indonesia.
