KPK seizes hundreds of billions in 20 suitcases related to ATR/BPN sting operation

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said his party confiscated cash stored in 20 suitcases related to a sting operation (OTT) at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).

Furthermore, Budi said the exact amount of the confiscated money is still being calculated by the KPK team.

"Currently it is still in the calculation process, but the estimated nominal reaches hundreds of billions of rupiah," he said.

Previously, the KPK confirmed conducting its 20th OTT throughout 2026. The OTT is related to alleged corruption in the management of building rights titles (HGB).

The KPK said it had arrested 17 people in the OTT, and among them were the Director General of Land and Spatial Control and Ordering at the Ministry of ATR/BPN Lampri, Head of the Bogor Regency Land Office I Sontang Coin Manurung, and Head of the Tangerang City Land Office Tardi.

Then, Golkar Party DPP Chairman Fahd Arafiq and former Kebumen Regent Arif Sugiyanto.

The KPK has 1 x 24 hours to determine the status of the parties arrested in the OTT in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).
